2011-2012 Athletic Fee

Subject:           Program Participation Fee

 

Hamilton Southeastern school board voted to begin charging athletes a Program Participation Fee (PPF) per sport, per season, starting the fall of 2010.  This fee will be based on the number of athletic trips their team (program) takes during the season. 

 

-       $15 for 10 or less athletic trips

-       $30 for 11 or more athletic trips

 

The money collected will go to central office to help offset transportation, program costs and other related expenses.

 

Here are the five (5) big questions as we begin the winter season.

 

1.     How much do I have to pay?

-       Boys Basketball                                 $30

-       Girls Basketball                                  $30

-       Wrestling                                          $30

-       Boys & Girls Swimming & Diving         $30

-       Cheerleading                                     $30

 

2.     Who do I write the check to?

-       HSE Athletics…  We will collect the money then forward one check to central office.

 

3.     When do I pay the fee?

-       When you pick up your Royal Card…  PPF will be due prior to receiving your Royal Card for non-cut sports (wrestling & boys & girls swimming) Cheerleading and basketball Program Participation Fee’s are due immediately after teams are selected.

-       Royal Card pickup and PPF payment can be done in the athletic office from 7:30 am – 3:30 pm.

 

4.     Do all athletes have to pay?

-       Yes.

 

5.     What happens if my son/daughter does not make the team?

-       Athletes who do not make the team will not be required to pay the Program Participation Fee.

Jordin Alexander is a Junior All-Star; Taya Reimer and Jordin Alexander voted All State Honorable Mention:

The awards keep coming in for Jordin and Taya.  Jordin was voted to the Junior All-Star Team, the third player in HSE history to get that honor. Both Jordin and Taya have been recognized as Honorable Mention All State and they both were selected to be 1st Team HCC.

 End of Season Awards

The 2010/2011 End of Season awards were handed out at the teams banquet.  The awards were voted on by the team and below is a list of the recipients.  Congratulations girls!

Jessica Stewart - Best Defensive Player
Taya Reimer - MVP
Kasey Hornbuckle - Most Improved
Jessica Pongonis - Hustle Award

Tip-Off Club Contributions:

Below is a partial list of the items /activities provided by the Tip-Off Club to the basketball program:

 

  • New flat screen TV for locker room film review
  • DVD tower for copying game films
  • Player signs in gym
  • Starting line-up player banners
  • Training equipment – agility ladders and running parachutes
  • Meals after each team’s away games
  • Team bonding movie outing
  • Hotel rooms at Lake Central Tip-Off Classic
  • Coaching Staff Gifts
  • Holiday and Sectional lunches
